Is Making It Look Great 2 worth getting if I do not have Invigorator PRO?
Making It Look Great #2 is packed full of information. If you only have ProAnimator, or perhaps you don't own a Zaxwerks product at all, you can still follow along. There are two ways you can do this:
First, you can download and install the demo version of Invigorator PRO. When you use it the Invigorator images will show a watermark, but it shouldn't be too difficult to overlook them.
Second, it is possible to use ProAnimator and follow along because this DVD is 80% about After Effects. When you get to the Invigorator parts you will need to convert the ideas to ProAnimator steps. If you are familiar with ProAnimator it's not too hard. There's just one thing in the DVD that cannot be translated to ProAnimator and that's the part called Layer Tracking. ProAnimator does not have this feature. So instead of doing exactly what's called for on the DVD you'll have to create a similar move inside the ProAnimator's time line.
The very best thing to do, would be to use both of the above suggestions. First go through the entire tutorial using the demo version of Invigorator PRO. That way you don't have to do any translating. Once you've done the tutorial all the way through, and know what the outcome is supposed to be, you can go back and create matching layers using ProAnimator. That way you'll get every bit of training on the DVD, plus you'll learn to apply your problem-solving skills creating alternate versions with ProAnimator.
